About JP Kennels

At JP Kennels, we are committed to breeding high-quality, health-tested Labrador Retrievers with excellent temperaments and strong pedigrees. Our journey began in December 2021 with the purchase of Willow, our first silver Labrador, from the highly respected DuckCreek Labradors in Winfield, Kansas. With over 12 years of experience breeding hunting-quality Labradors, DuckCreek mentored us through the early stages of our program until we welcomed our first litter on December 31, 2023.

Two of our dams, Willow and Roxy, were whelped at DuckCreek, and our sire, Zeus—originally purchased by DuckCreek—now lives with us and plays a central role in our breeding program. We proudly carry forward the legacy and standards DuckCreek instilled in us.

JP Kennels is located in Douglass, Kansas, on a beautiful 5-acre property where our dogs have plenty of room to run, play, and explore. We've recently added a dog pond—lovingly named Willow's Pond—in honor of Willow, who started our program and laid the foundation for everything we do. It’s a favorite spot for our Labs to cool off, swim, and enjoy being dogs.

All of our puppies are whelped and raised in our home to ensure early socialization and a loving environment. As they grow, they transition to our outdoor kennel in their final weeks to become familiar with a natural setting. This also introduces them to potty training and the use of a dog door—helping prepare them for their forever homes.

We proudly breed Labrador Retrievers in all standard and dilute colors, including Black, Yellow, Chocolate, Silver, Charcoal, Champagne, and the striking Fox Red. Every puppy is a reflection of our dedication to health, temperament, and beauty.

We believe that health starts from the inside out.
